LADIES SECTION

As ladies captain of Cherwell Edge Golf Club for year 2017/18 may I say welcome to all visitors of this site and in particular to this page. 
We are a very small ladies section with a wide selection of competitions throughout the calendar year. 
We welcome any ladies of any age and ability to join in and have fun.

 Competition Day

The Ladies’ Section meet on Tuesdays and Sundays for competitions as well as social golf.

On Tuesdays the Ladies meet at 9.30 am with the first tee at 10.00 am. 

On Sundays the Ladies have a flexible arrangement for tee times according to the numbers and time preference of those playing. 

 Other Competitions

Other competitions during the year include the Club Championship, Lady Captain’s Day, Lady Vice-Captain’s Day, Invitation Day, Memorial Day, Lady Captain’s Charity Competition, Senior Ladies Challenge Trophy, Mixed Betterball Trophy, Order of Merit, and Winter and Summer Eclectics. 

The ladies run a 9 and 18 hole matchplay competition and a mixed 9 hole matchplay competition during the summer.  There is also an 18 hole knock-out matchplay competition at this time. 

Some ladies meet informally on other days to play social golf.

Mixed Competitions

The ladies may also join in other mixed competitions during the year such as Men’s Captain’s Day, Men’s Vice-Captain’s Day, Early Birds, BBQ Bowl, Men’s Captain’s Charity Day, Memorial Day, and Inauguration Day. 

External Competition

There are Ladies’ Friendly matches and Mixed Friendly matches against other clubs throughout the Spring and Summer months. This involves playing against 4 or 5 other clubs both home and away.

Cherwell Edge Ladies enter the Daily Mail Foursomes every year.
